JEWISH RENAISSANCE CHINA TOUR
18 October – 1 November 2009

The JR 2007 tour to China was incredibly successful. We saw some of the most
wondrous sites of China and delved into the country's diverse Jewish connections - from meeting the descendents of the Jews of Kaifeng to seeing a collection of mementos of the once 20,000 strong Jewish community of Harbin, to strolling around the former Ghetto of Shanghai. As in all JR tours, the group got on marvellously together and many friendships were made.

The 2009 tour will be even better as we are able to draw on the previous tour's experience. This time the trip will have the benefit of the participation of the world authority on the Jews of China, brilliant lecturer and charming company, Professor Xu Xin of Nanjing University.

An optional extension to include a cruise on the Yangtse River is planned.
