Loving Wisely: Insights from Neurobiology, Relationship Science and Jewish Tradition

Falling in love is delicious. Nurturing love over the long haul is more challenging. Spend Valentine's Day a little differently this year as Dr Mona Fishbane shares insights into what makes for great long-term love, based on the latest research in relationships, neurobiology and enduring values from the Jewish tradition. What does it mean to remain healthy in intimate relationships? What are the personal, relational and ethical values and behaviours that promote success in love? Dr Fishbane will explore how to bring our best selves to relationships, why we get stuck in unproductive habits, and how we can we change and live up to higher values. Hosted in partnership with the Lyons Learning Project.

Dr Fishbane is a clinical psychologist in the US, specialising in couple therapy and intergenerational family relationships, an international lecturer, and author of Loving with the Brain in Mind: Neurobiology and Couple Therapy (Norton, 2013). She was also named Family Psychologist of the Year in 2017 by the American Psychological Association.
