What is JR Tours?

Step beyond our Passport pages with JR Tours. On these trips we engage with diaspora communities all over the world. Join a likeminded group to learn about the Jewish and wider culture of the marvellous places we visit, led by expert and charismatic guides. We find most of our travellers do not require kosher catering, so no special arrangements are made, but we do ensure that there is good availability of vegetarian and fish meals.

We meet local Jewish communities; try to use hotels within walking distance of a synagogue and we don’t travel between locations on shabbat. On previous trips we've spent shabbat in the courtyard of a Samarkand home, feasted at a joyful Purim party in Casablanca and felt part of the buzz of Krakow’s Jewish Festival.

Thanks for a terrific experience of friendship and life stories on our tour of the Balkans. I’ve learnt so much during our travels. There were some very moving occasions but, as always, wonderful anecdotes to keep close. Humour, music and good food and drink to remember.
