Why support us?

Jewish Renaissance has been supported by the readers since its founding, but subscription income doesn't cover all our costs. We continue to campaign to increase subscriber numbers – helped greatly by our existing readers’ advocacy – but we are increasingly reliant on philanthropy to sustain the magazine. This is why we need your support: to ensure that we continue to inspire future generations to make their Jewish heritage a positive force in an increasingly troubled world.

If you donate to Jewish Renaissance, a registered charity, you will be helping to produce a one-of-a-kind magazine that plays an important role in informing the Jewish and wider public about the culture and heritage of the Jewish diaspora worldwide.

There are a number of ways to donate; explore all our options below. Your generosity and support are hugely appreciated.

In the last few generations Jewish people have gone through so many developments that many of us don’t know where we stand any more. It’s time for regeneration in Jewish life. That’s why this magazine is so important.
— Ralph Dobrin, Author and activist

leave A LEGACY to jr

We know that leaving a legacy is a very personal and important decision, and we are indebted to you for any support you decide to give. By leaving a legacy to Jewish Renaissance you will help to ensure the magazine's existence so that future generations can enjoy a publication that celebrates all that is positive and engaging in Jewish culture.

What should I do next?

  • Make a will, if you haven’t already. This ensures that your wishes are carried out and helps to alleviate any uncertainties for those left behind. We advise that you ask a solicitor to help draw this up.
  • Specify JR's charity status (registered charity number 1152871). When leaving a legacy above a certain threshold this can reduce the amount of inheritance tax payable on your entire estate.
  • If you have made a will, download a simple codicil form here. This will enable you to add JR as a beneficiary to your will with minimum time and no expense involved.
