After our successful trip to the Isle of Man earlier this year, organised in association with Insiders/Outsiders, Dave Hannigan, author, journalist and professor of history at Suffolk County Community College, Long Island, will be giving an online talk about his new book. Entitled Barbed Wire University: The Untold Story of the Interned Jewish Intellectuals Who Turned an Island Prison into the Most Remarkable School in the World, the book tells the extraordinary tale of Churchill's internment of some of the most gifted Jewish refugee writers, professors, artists and painters on the Isle of Man.
Tickets are free and the talk starts at 6pm. Click here to book.
Attendees are entitled to 30% off the book, simply enter the code ‘RLFANDF30’ at the checkout on the Rowman & Littlefield website.
