Book Club: Jonathan Kaufman

The JR Book Club returns to Zoom this December, where we will feature a Q&A with Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Jonathan Kaufman. His latest book is The Last Kings of Shanghai, an epic work of non-fiction that tells the multigenerational story of two rival Jewish dynasties, who flourished in Shanghai and Hong Kong as 20th-century China welcomed the modern era.

Join us to learn about the history and context of Jewish China and read more about The Last Kings of Shanghai in the Oct 2020 issue of JR.

No prior reading is necessary, as this event will be an introduction to the book.

Please register below to receive the Zoom link, which will be sent out at 3pm on the day of the event.
