Festival Food Workshop: Middle Eastern Treats for Purim

Join Daisy Abboudi, founder of Tales of Jewish Sudan and deputy director of Sephardi Voices UK, for this Purim cookery workshop. The menu for the evening features Ka’ak bil Agwa (date biscuits) and Basbousa. A full list of the ingredients and equipment required will be sent out two weeks before the online class, which will be hosted in partnership with Sephardi Voices UK.

Daisy began Tales of Jewish Sudan in 2015, with the aim of documenting and preserving the stories and recipes of her grandparents’ community. The Jewish community of Sudan was a melting-pot of Jewish people from all over the Middle East, where traditions and food cultures came together and adopted an extra Sudanese dimension. The community was largely active from 1900 to 1970 and at its peak numbered approximately 250 families.

Please register below to receive the streaming link, which will be sent out one day before the event*.
